This new program, “Laura’s Common Grounds” is based on the research by Urban Sociologists in 1989 which coined the phrase the “3rd Place.” Laura uses this concept as a starting point to expound on the power of 3rd Places in all of our lives. Places and spaces where we have the extraordinary ability to turn relationships into partnerships and ideas into reality. Laura believes that we never know when the next conversation could be thee conversation to change our life or more importantly that of someone else but, if we are ready for it, we will seize that moment and turn the “optional” into “opportunity.”
An innovative reveal during Common Grounds is discovered in both its message and delivery.
Unique delivery and staging design for “Laura’s Common Grounds” in 3 parts:
1) Laura delivers a high energy 20minute keynote connecting Common Grounds to your company/association’s core message, mission and conference program goals in a traditional keynote setting on stage.
2) Laura cues a surprise physical change on stage transforming it into a 3rd Place such as: “Laura’s Common Grounds Café” with a coffee station and seats, a happy hour complete with a bar and stools, a break room with tables or any other relevant 3rd place to the audience.
3) Laura invites 4-6 attendees to the stage (pre-planned) orchestrating a conversation with them on stage, including audience dialogue when applicable, creating an engaging program through interaction highlighting the message and goals of the company/conference.
