Laura speaks at the IGLTA Global Convention
Chicago, IL — Internationally renowned professional emcee, moderator, and leadership keynote speaker Laura Schwartz participated in the IGLTA Global Convention, held October 21–25, 2025, in Palm Springs. The annual global gathering convened destination leaders, executives, and changemakers from around the world to address the most pressing issues shaping the future of LGBTQ+ travel, tourism, and community engagement.
Schwartz served as moderator for a featured main-stage panel, “Leading Through Diversity,” guiding a dynamic and thought-provoking conversation with an esteemed group of global leaders: Susan Santiago, former President of Hyatt for the U.S. and Canada; Jean-Marie Navetta, Vice President of Out & Equal; and Michelle Mason, President and CEO of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
At the core of the convention were main-stage discussions examining the state of LGBTQ+ travel worldwide. On the topic of “Leading Through Uncertainty,” panelists explored universal challenges facing the travel and tourism industry — including economic volatility, political shifts, and evolving DEI priorities — while sharing actionable strategies for building resilient organizations, inspiring teams, and sustaining inclusive growth amid rapid global change.
Known for her ability to facilitate meaningful dialogue across industries and perspectives, Schwartz brought both strategic insight and on-stage warmth to the conversation, ensuring the discussion resonated with leaders navigating their own complex leadership journeys.
“Leadership today requires both courage and clarity,” said Schwartz. “What made this conversation so powerful was the shared commitment to leading with values — even when the path forward feels uncertain. The leaders in that room are shaping not just the future of travel, but the future of belonging.”
Attendees left the session energized and empowered, reflecting on how their own leadership journeys — though often uncertain — are central to advancing their organizations, communities, and the global LGBTQ+ travel industry.
