Laura Schwartz Named Host of the New Eventex Podcast
CHICAGO — September 8, 2026 — International professional emcee, keynote speaker, interviewer and award-winning podcaster Laura Schwartz has been named host of the new Eventex Podcast, taking listeners behind the scenes of the global meetings and events industry through candid conversations with the leaders shaping its future.
For years, Eventex has celebrated excellence and innovation across the global events industry through the Eventex Awards, its annual Powerlist, industry reports and original content. Now, the new podcast will bring listeners closer to the people, ideas, decisions and experiences behind the work.
As host, Schwartz will sit down with event industry leaders and innovators to explore not only what happens onstage, but what happens behind the scenes — the decisions, pressure, personalities, pivots and unexpected moments that ultimately bring extraordinary experiences to life.
“Every great event has a story behind it — and very often, the best stories are the ones the audience never sees,” said Schwartz. “After producing more than 1,000 events at the White House and spending years on stages around the world, I know that what happens behind the scenes can be every bit as fascinating as what happens onstage. The role brings together several chapters of Schwartz’s career. As a former White House Director of Events, she produced more than 1,000 events for the President, First Lady, world leaders and international dignitaries. Today, as a professional emcee, moderator and interviewer, she hosts conferences and conversations around the world, interviewing leaders and personalities from business, politics, entertainment, technology and beyond.
It also marks a return to an award-winning medium for Schwartz. In 2021, Schwartz and her colleagues at ITV London earned the prestigious Drum Award for Podcast of the Year. She continues to work across television, live events and digital media, bringing the same curiosity, preparation and conversational style to every interview.
Schwartz’s relationship with Eventex spans many years. She has been named among the 100 Most Influential People in the Global Event Industry for seven consecutive years, from 2019 through 2025, and serves on the jury for the Eventex Awards 2026.
